Known for his beautifully minimalist, process-driven conceptualizations, London-based British designer Benjamin Hubert has introduced the “Plicate” watch in conjunction with Milan’s Nava. Pairing a three-dimensional faceted dial with a polyurethane strap, the timepiece’s fan-like surface allows for easy reading while the strap is finished with a unique button clasp. Developed in four different colors, the “Plicate” marks the second collaboration between Hubert and Nava and was on display at this year’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Italy.
Originally shared via the Instagram feed of SABER, artist Sever looks to have been hard at work on a mural that pays a tongue-in-cheek tribute to other street art giants including Shepard Fairey, Futura, KAWS, Barry McGee and Os Gemeos. The mural shows the crew toting a casket branded with the insignia, “STREET ART.” Each persona is seemingly dressed in business attire suits as they cart the oversized casket.

AMBUSH cuts loose its latest bold and experimental collection for Spring/Summer 2012 titled, “HOLY MOUNTAIN.” Drawing inspiration from filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky’s similarly titled movie, “The Holy Mountain,” the collection exudes AMBUSH’s affinity for in-your-face aesthetics, trippy colors and often tenebrous overtones hidden within the midst of its vibrant pieces. The collection features everything from multi-finger rings, earrings, heavy neck pieces, and bracelets. Under the creative direction of YOON and art direction of Nishi Yoshiro, photography for the thematic lookbook was captured by Takashi Kamei. Expect the HOLY MOUNTAIN collection to arrive beginning June 2012 through select AMBUSH stockists.
